Best Lincoln City Hiking Trails for Bird Watching
One of the best ways to collect memories, not things, is by experiencing the Lincoln City area’s scenic nature. There are some fantastic hiking trails nearby, and as a result, there are many opportunities to see birds and more wildlife.
This trail is about a mile long that wraps around Siletz Bay. Here you will get to see plenty of water birds. Here you might spot a Great Blue Heron, Canada Goose, and Horned Grebe.
The Cutler Wetlands Open Space Loop is short, spanning less than one mile. But, this is a great trail to start on or if you don’t want to hike for long distances. The area is primarily covered in the forest, so you will likely see American Robin, Hairy Woodpecker, and Orange-crowned Warbler.
If you are looking for a longer hike, the Salishan Spit Hike is about eight miles long on the Pacific Ocean. Regardless if you see a bird or not, this is a gorgeous beach hike. It’s also an easy hike for most people despite its length. Perhaps you will witness an American Wigeon, Great Egrets, or Bald Eagle.
